The Out-going Director General of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Bakary Gassama and his successor Demba Ceesay, on Thursday paid a courtesy call to the National Security Adviser (NSA) Abubakarr S. Jeng at the Office of National Security (ONS) in Banjul.
The courtesy call was used as an opportunity by the Out-going Director General Bakary Gassama to bid farewell to the National Security Adviser on behalf of ONS and to also introduce to him his successor to the post Demba Ceesay.
For his part, the NSA thanked Out-going Director General Gassama for his commitment and outstanding service to the country and wished him well for the future.
The NSA also welcomed In-coming Director General Ceesay and briefed him on the mandate of the Office of National security as the body coordinating all security institutions in the country and the lead in the ongoing Security Sector Reform Process (SSRP).
This meeting underscores the strong partnership between the ONS and DLEAG, as they work together to ensure national security and effective drug law enforcement.
NSA Jeng assured DG Ceesay that the ONS has an open door policy and that he is welcomed at any time to discuss matters related to his work.
